The Library, recent activity, and a player that travels with your listener.
There have always been two sides to Indee. The creator's side is where the work lives: your listening containers, your audience, your earnings. The listener's side stayed deliberately simple: arrive by one link, and listen.
Simple was right for the first listen. It wasn't right for the fiftieth. When someone owns three of your recordings and returns every evening to the same wind-down, "arrive by one link" starts to feel thin, because to come back, they had to find the link again, or navigate back to the page. The work was kept in an inbox, and the way back was a search.
Today the listener's side gets a home, and a way back to it from anywhere.
The Library
Everything a listener has bought or joined now lives in one place. Their purchases are gathered automatically, and alongside them, listeners can build collections of their own: a morning practice, a sleep zone, the sessions they return to most. The work you made stops being a link in an inbox and becomes a kept thing.
Recent activity
Above the library sits the simplest, most-used thing in the release: what they last played or opened. The session from last night, the piece they return to every evening, the container they were halfway through, surfaced first, before any searching. A returning practitioner almost always wants the thing they had last, and now it's the first thing they see. The way back isn't a search anymore. It's the top of the list.
A panel that travels with them
Here's the part that changes the feel of the whole experience. The library and recent activity don't live on a page a listener has to travel to. They live in a panel that slides out over wherever they already are, on any screen, anywhere in Indee. So returning to your work is no longer a trip back through pages. It's two taps: open the panel, tap the recent item, and your recording is playing again. Your work is never far away.
For someone with a daily practice, that distance, between deciding to listen and the sound starting, is everything. The shorter it is, the more often they come back.
One player, above everything
Playback moved up to the same global level. The player no longer lives inside a page; it lives above the whole app, and everything else happens beneath it.
What that changes is simple, and until now quietly missing: the listening no longer depends on staying put. A listener can open the panel and move between screens, and the sound keeps going, uninterrupted. Leaving a page never takes the audio down with it. And when life interrupts, as it does, the work waits: press pause, come back, and it resumes from exactly where it left you, the way a bookmark serves a book.
What this means for your work
A recording that lives in someone's library, one tap from every screen, is a different thing from a recording that lives in their inbox. It gets returned to. It becomes part of a practice. The listener who can get back in two taps returns more often. And the listener who returns easily is the one who sustains you. Everything in this release serves that one loop.
