Indee exists because sound practitioners deserve technology built for them.

We started Indee because we saw the same story playing out across creators: talented people making meaningful work, handing it to platforms that don't serve them, and wondering how they can sustain a creative life.

Posting guided experiences where they earn fractions of a cent per stream. Uploading their work to platforms that bury it in an algorithm. Giving away years of craft on technology designed for the next scroll, rather than a deep listen.

The tools weren't broken. They were built for someone else.

The beliefs we build by

Independence comes first

Your work. Your audience. Your terms.

We build tools that serve your creative freedom — not ones that capture it. You can leave anytime. Your audience comes with you. If a platform makes it hard to leave, it was never serving you — it was holding you.

Attention is sacred

So we don't compete for it.

No feeds. No ads. No distractions. Just your work and the people who came for it.

Most platforms are designed to keep people scrolling. Indee is designed to let them arrive. There's a difference between a listener who found your sound healing session through an algorithm and one who came because they wanted your work specifically. The second one is the foundation of a sustainable creative life.

Fair exchange, directly

When someone values your work, the support should reach you — simply, immediately, fully.

You set the terms. The money goes to you. No commission. No hidden fees. No "platform tax" that grows as you grow. We believe the person who made the work should receive the value. This isn't radical — it's just honest.

Depth beats breadth

A hundred people who genuinely care will sustain you longer than ten thousand who scroll past.

Resonance matters more than reach. This is Kevin Kelly's 1,000 True Fans thesis made real — and Indee is the infrastructure for it. We're not trying to help you go viral. We're trying to help you go sustainable.

Creation has its rhythm

There's having something to say. And having to say something.

Monthly subscriptions quietly reward the second. Evergreen honours the first. Patience is part of the work. Silence too. We don't penalise you for taking a month off. Your work doesn't expire because you didn't post this week.

Tools shape behaviour

If a platform rewards noise, people learn to be noisy. If it rewards presence, people slow down.

Every design decision we make is a choice about what behaviour we encourage. We chose no algorithm because algorithms reward frequency over depth. We chose no discovery feed because feeds reward performance over authenticity. These aren't missing features — they're deliberate decisions.

Protection, not extraction

Your work is yours. Listening is access — not a file to be taken.

We build systems that protect your work while leaving agency with you. When someone listens on Indee, they're experiencing your sound — not downloading a file to redistribute. This isn't DRM. It's respect.

Sound is an experience

It isn't something to skim, scroll past, or leave playing in the background. It's something you enter.

This shapes everything about how Indee works. The player is designed for presence. The space is designed for attention. The experience is designed for depth. Because that's what your work deserves.

Aligned by design

Indee is subscription-funded. We grow when practitioners thrive.

We don't sell your data. We don't sell your audience. We don't sell ads against your work. We don't take a cut of your earnings. Our business model is simple: creators pay a small monthly fee for the tools, and everything they earn is theirs.

This alignment matters. When a platform makes money from ads, it's incentivised to keep people scrolling — not to support your creative practice. When a platform takes commission, it's incentivised to push you toward higher volume — not deeper work. We removed those incentives on purpose.

Built to stay independent

Indee is not neutral. It's intentionally designed. Quiet. Honest. Built to last.

We're not trying to be the biggest platform. We're trying to be the most aligned one. For independent sound practitioners who want to earn sustainably from work that matters — on their own terms, with their own audience, in their own rhythm.

That's why Indee exists. And that's what we'll keep building toward.
